Mortgages of up to 90% may be obtained from any local Bank, if you are a citizen or resident of Barbados and have an income arising there.
Mortgage Investment Rates
Overseas loans are linked to the American banks' LIBOR rate and with the local loading the rate are currently around 6%. For non national this is the best available and is restricted to 50-70% of the purchase price and must be paid in US$.
For Barbadian citizens the rate is about 5% but if it is being rented an additional levy of 1% might apply.
